A Scheduled Beginner Bead Loom Class, Alternate Design Choice

Choice #2: Class at Bead Soup, in Savage MD,
"Beginner Bead Loom Class"
January 16 & 23, 2016.
Call the Store for reservation information.

"Cardinaling in Silent Snow"
This cuff pattern speaks to me, even though you see the silence. The bead finishes create this scene, with white-out conditions, surrounding the subject, silouetts of trees in the background, snow layden tree branches and a light play of sun, in the background, (which does happen in some snow storms).
It is hard to share, in the photo, but the snow is glistening and
you can see sparks of it falling, throughout the cuff.

I am now ready for the class and can't wait to see what the students pick to weave first! My 'Beginner Classes' are a favorite of mine, because I can the wheels of creativity turn, in every face.

A Pendant, Created on the Bead Loom!

It was an uber fantasic day, yesterday at Bead Soup, in Savage Maryland. We had a class full, of beaders, eager to learn advanced skills, on a bead loom. Now, lets move on to December 5th, 2015...aslo an "Advanced Bead Loom" Class.

This Pendant, AND ANOTHER THEME I WILL OFFER, NOT CHRISTMAS RELATED, is a new technique that will heighten bead loom weaving skills. (Please be sure to watch, for the second pendant design being offered!).

This class is filling quickly. So if you have taken a 'beginner class' with me, then please consider signing up. You may take this pendant to any level you desire...stopping at any stage to create the perfect Holiday Pendant you feel comfortable wearing. However, every stage to create the total piece, will be included in the class instruction.

I am teaching another 'Beginning Bead Loom Class', on January 16 & 23, 2016, at Bead Soup in Savage Maryland. This class offers insights about weaving on the loom, threads, beads, etc. and grants you the chance to sign up for 'any' of my 'One Day' Classes, such as this Holiday Pendant Class. We share many one day classes, through out the year, but only a few beginner.

If you decide to sign up, for a Beginner Bead Loom Class, I only have one piece of advice......Prepare for a new obsession !!
Call Bead Soup, 240-456-4568, to discuss a reservation.

In honor of my trip to West Palm Beach Florida,

Please be sure to contact
The Bead Society of the Palm Beaches,
to consider signing up, for one of my three classes.
You don't have to be a Society Member, to take the class.

Summer Bead Loom Cuff Class!

I am very excited to share the Exclusive Cuff Patterns, being offered, for my next class, at Bead Soup....June 13th & 20th. This class will offer many techniques to the beginner, as well as learning to attach the 'crunchie clasp',
(also known as the ribbon end).

The cuff pattern choices are "Summer Dawn", "Summer Dusk", some are going to complete both :D ! Call the store if you are interested, 240-456-4568.

I just wish I could offer the way the bead finishes react and come to life, in these two cuffs,
by the bead finishes/styles I incorporated. These pictures do not do them justice.

"Carousel Cuff Go Round", Published Pattern!

I was asked to contribute a Bead Loom Cuff Pattern,
to BEAD Magazine, UK, months ago.
Their theme, for Issue 62, was 'Movement'. I got started creating a
pattern to offer such a theme, too,.....A Carousel!

The pattern starts and ends, on each side,
with only a portion of the Horse, being shown.
This design concept helps to offer the 'go-round' aspect,
of this cuff design.

As included in my article,
bronze findings can be added to either the clasp or
as dangling charms.

The cuff is also included as an inset, on the cover.

Be sure to pick up Issue 62, of BEAD Magazine UK,
in either Print Form, or Digital Versions.
(Scroll down the link page, to see purchase options.)

Included are many tips and techniques,
never offered outside of my classroom, before.
Also true is the fact this cuff pattern shares more instructive insight,
than can be seen, in any other publication, to date!

I hope you enjoy recreating this cuff, as much as
I enjoyed knowing it would be shared,
with so many bead loom artists.

Fringe hanging ON the cuff base!

I love fringe. I love how it moves and makes you feel, while feeling it sway around the wrist. But, does the fringe always need to lay 'below' the cuff? Or, as I created here, in this next class cuff design, the fringe became part of the cuff pattern, laying on top!

On April 11th, I will be teaching these designs, as a choice each student can make, at Bead Soup, in Savage Maryland. I'm excited for this class. I am for all, of these classes :D

Fringing a Cuff ''On Top"!

My next class, at Bead Soup, in Savage Maryland! This is just one version, with others to be shared soon. My mode is to work the fringe 'on' the cuff, as opposed to 'hanging off' the cuff. I can't wait to share the other versions! The class is on April 11th. It's a one day one class and
I ADORE spending the day with everyone and their looms!
Call the store, 240-456-4568, for reservations.

Attaching a Box Clasp, to a Bead Loom Woven Cuff!

We are getting together, at Bead Soup, in Savage Maryland, Saturday Feb 21st & 28th, for a " Bead Quilting Bee"! Here, we will focus on attaching a 'box clap', to a Bead Loom Woven Cuff. The Simplicity of design will take a back seat, to t...he detail methods being offered. This class will allow you to learn how to "finish any bead loom woven cuff", in many style clasps, size and shape, or even
multiple clasps, to accommodate any width cuff.

I look forward to this class because it opens the doors, so the students can sign up, for my many scheduled "One Day Classes". The "One Day" venues allow me to offer new techniques and not spend the time discussing how to finish, with a clasp.

If you are interested in joining in, call Bead Soup 240-456-4568 for availability. If this class is sold out, please inquire about my future confirmed teaching dates.

I'm Creating More Bead Loom Patterns, Than Ever!

So many new things to share, but first, I have reopened my Etsy Store!

I've decided to offer a limited quantity, of older and new patterns. The reason they will be limited, is to keep the shop fresh, with new patterns and keep me moving to make more :D

You may also look over the sold patterns, to see what other Bead Loom Cuff Patterns I have created!

"Playful Break Through" Bead Loom Cuff Pattern

"Maddest About Color" Bead Loom Cuff Pattern
This cuff was loom woven by Carol Ashworth.
She created the cool edgings, you see on this cuff.

"Floridian Solice" Bead Loom Cuff Pattern

I'm also very excited to share a new cuff, which is logged for publication. More on that soon!

My last class, held at Bead Soup, in Savage Maryland, offered the following three pattern selections! They seem very fitting, for the recent weather and
Punxsutawney Phil's prediction today...."Six more weeks of Winter".

"Friends to the Betta End" Bead Loom Cuff

"Joyous Snowman" Bead Loom Cuff

"Margaret's Winter Wonderland" Bead Loom Cuff

My next class will be held on February 21 & 28, 2015, 11-3:00 each day.
The focus, of this class, will be attaching a box clasp, to a bead loom woven cuff.
Call Bead Soup, in Savage Maryland, for availability.
